Patrick Warnking, the former boss of Google Switzerland, has been promoted to head of the Eastern Europe region. He will take up his new position in early 2023. The Austrian national coach Christine Antlanger-Winter takes over on an interim basis.
In his new role, Warnking has business responsibility for 20 countries and is based in Warsaw, Google announced Thursday.
With Google for almost 15 years
Warnking had led Google’s Swiss office for nearly twelve years. He has provided important services to Google’s market expansion and partnerships in Switzerland. Warnking has been with Google for almost 15 years.
Until a successor is found, Christine Antlanger-Winter, head of Google Austria, will lead the Swiss branch on an interim basis.
According to the company, more than 4,500 people from 85 countries work for the company in Switzerland. They work on services like Google Maps, Google Search, the Google Assistant or YouTube.
