The report Latin America IT Industry Predictions 2024 highlights a growth of 5% in of the entire IT industry in the region, surpassing the rates of mature economies such as the United States. One of the most significant findings this year is that security is still a priority for organizations, even more so than in previous years. 50% of respondents ranked it as a top funding priority, which represents a significant increase of 5% compared to the previous year. However, this priority varies from region to region.

While in the Americas and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the modernization of existing applications is a priority investment, in Asia and the Pacific this approach is lower on the list. This contrast can due to the increased use of SaaS in Asia Pacific, suggesting a tendency to replace legacy software with cloud solutions.

Cloud management, especially hybrid cloud management, continues to be a top funding priority in IT management. However, there is a significant de-prioritization of workload migration management funding, possibly indicating a change in the application deployment strategies.

Hybrid cloud management is consolidated co as a strategic priority for organizations, added Robert Calva. A significant increase in funding for these initiatives reflects this
growing understanding of the need for agile, efficient and secure management of cloud environments, combining the best of the public and private worlds to meet the demands
market changes.

Manual processes are still the main obstacle to digital transformation, especially in America. However, an increase in investment was found
automation of various aspects of IT, proposing a focus on improving efficiency and safety.

In short, security remains a top priority in today’s technology environment, with an increasing focus on threat intelligence, detection and response. However, it is
addressing regional differences in funding priorities to ensure transformation effectively digital and aligned with business goals.
