It wasn’t long before Abarth launched a sports version of the Fiat 500e. The much more dynamic Abarth 500e model produces an impressive 155 hp (115 kW) instead of 118 hp (87 kW). In addition to more power, the optics have also been sharpened. After parent company Fiat launched its second electric model, the 600e, sports subsidiary Abarth is now following suit. With a length of 4.17 meters, the Abarth 600e crossover achieves a significant performance increase that clearly eclipses previous models.

240 hp, limited slip differential and Formula E tires

The Italian brand promises that the Abarth 600e is all about performance. This is already clearly seen in the performance. With its 240 hp (176 kW) power, it is the most powerful Abarth series of all time. For comparison: the top version of the Abarth 695 produces “only” 190 hp (139 kW).

Abarth engineers came up with many ideas to best reflect this power on the road. Unique to electric cars, the Abarth 600e features a limited-slip differential that provides better driving stability and aims to improve traction and handling. An unusual approach was also chosen for the tyres. For maximum grip, Abarth 600e tires were developed together with Formula E supplier Hankook.

Market launch with Scorpionissima version

Only one photo of the new mini SUV has been released so far. Shown is the Scorpionissima version that will be available at the start of sales. In addition to the special “Hypnotic Purple” color, it is also equipped with a rear spoiler and 20-inch wheels. The lowered launch version is limited to 1949 vehicles, referencing the year Abarth was founded.

There is no official information yet about the planned start of sales. However, we think that the compact e-sports car will reach dealers towards the end of the year. And we can only speculate about prices. But if you get the same premium as the 500e (over 8,000 francs), the price of the Abarth 600e could be around 45,000 francs.
