After a successful testing phase, the cantonal police of Valais is expanding its fleet with new electric cars. In the spirit of protecting the environment and in order to minimize the impact of greenhouse gas emissions produced by its fleet, the Cantonal Police of Valais has purchased a number of electric cars for its various units.
The car is an indispensable tool for law enforcement. Approximately 3.6 million kilometers are traveled every year, mostly by our patrol vehicles. Agents working around the clock must be able to rely on powerful tools that ensure fast and effective deployment.
E-bikes are also used
After successful tests with electric vehicles since 2022, many new police-printed vehicles will soon be put into service. They will be stationed at various police stations in the canton.
