In September, Google’s rival Apple sold devices from Indian factories for the first time when a new iPhone model went on sale. An unknown number of Indian-made iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have gone on sale in various countries, including India itself.
Other tech companies also increasingly want to produce in India. With its 1.4 billion inhabitants, the country is the most populous in the world and is considered a growth market.
