Love Ride 2023, the biggest charity event in the Swiss biker scene, was also a huge success. Again, many donations came together for muscle diseases and the disabled. But in May, there was a serious traffic accident while they were riding together. Biker Stephan (54) from Neftenbach ZH and two physically disabled women who were passengers in the basket collided with a driver who was not part of the incident.
The driver and two women in the vehicle were slightly to moderately injured in the accident. Motorcyclist Stephan was less fortunate. He was hospitalized with serious injuries and only regained consciousness after being in a coma for several days. Due to his typical disorientation when he awoke, the aspiring biker said it was still Love Ride day, informing doctors that he needed to pressure not to miss the planned appearance of blues and rock singer Marc Amacher (39). official program
Spontaneous visit with guitar
When Love-Ride-OK board member Bruno Leutwlyer, 58, asked about Stephan’s health and heard about the incident, he spontaneously contacted the musician known from “The Voice”, among other things. He suggested to Marc Amacher that he visit the biker who had an accident at home together and surprise them with a few songs. So at the end of last week, Leutwyler and Amacher got on their machines and drove to Neftenbach for a private concert.
Fortunately, Stephan, who got up again, was impressed by this surprise and enjoyed the special private concert with great enthusiasm. Finally got a hand signed CD as a small keepsake. This pleasant surprise from OC boss Leutwyler and musician Amacher shows that Love Ride is not only devoted to people with disabilities, but also to our own team and many of our helpers.
