It was the 67th minute of the Regionalliga Südwest match between TSG Hoffenheim’s second team and VfR Aalen when Aalen striker Steffen Kienle (28) violently hit the post when he had a chance to score and remained motionless.
Team doctors from both teams immediately stormed onto the field and treated the injured man, who even had to be resuscitated.
