On Tuesday there was a fuss in the stands at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Real’s match against Manchester City (1-1). Erling Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, was led out of the penalty area by the stewards – he was literally thrown out. The reason for this is that he insulted the Real fans with obscene gestures (see video) and allegedly threw peanuts from his seat at the spectators sitting below him.
Haaland explained the cause of the scandal on social media. Real fans weren’t happy when he cheered when Kevin De Bruyne equalized City. Then he just resisted.
For once, Alf-Inge couldn’t celebrate a goal from his son Erling. In the giant duel, the exceptional striker of the English remained pale. The second leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League will take place in Manchester on Wednesday 17 May, kick-off is at 9 p.m. (nsa)
