The New York Knicks defeated the Miami Heat 111-105 at home and tied 1-1 in the best-of-7 series. With 30 points, Jalen Brunson was the most diligent point collector on the Knicks team. Julius Randle also showed a strong game with 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Lakers beat defending champions
In the second game, the Warriors dominated the opening stages, but midway through the third quarter, the Lakers took control and firmly pulled away. In the final section, the 14-point interim lead steadily melted away before the game tied at 112:112. Finally, the Lakers were able to react again and take five points in a row.
