A signal problem at the Caja Mágica left televisions around the world without a picture at the start of the second set

Carlos Alcaraz prevailed in the first set with absolute solvency over Zverev. I was starting the first game of the second when suddenly the screen went black all over the world. In Spain, viewers who followed the match on Teledeporte, as well as those who followed the match on Movistar Deportes, saw a signal interruption.

Due to a technical problem, Caja Mágica’s international signal went out, making it impossible to rebroadcast the match. Televisión Española issued a statement in which it apologized for the problems and assured that it was trying to solve them. “The Magic Box suffered a technical problem that caused the broadcast to be interrupted. We are trying to resolve the issue to restore the signal as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience,” reads the message published by the public channel.

A few minutes later, the connection was finally able to resume. In the meeting between Alcaraz and Zverev, the fifth game of the second set was played. Alcaraz’s dominance continued, the Murcian serving to level the second set at two.
