He has proven his suitability for NL: Marco Zanetti made his debut in the Eredivisie at Lugano practically at the same time as new coach Luca Gianinazzi took office. And thanks to his speed, technique and courage, he established himself in the team. The 21-year-old therefore gained the confidence of the young coach – and is now being rewarded for his performance.
The striker signed his first professional contract with the Bianconeri, until 2026. Zanetti, an Italian with a Swiss license, has gone through all youth levels at HC Lugano. He had played there for four seasons under Gianinazzi when he was U20 coach.
The Italy international scored 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists) in the regular season. In the playoffs, Zanetti had three assists. (AFTER)
