Postponed Ribadeo – Galicia Mugardos from Preferente Norte due to the tragic event in Xove

The decision was made after official mourning was declared for the death of four young people in a traffic accident

The match corresponding to the twenty-ninth day of the North Group of the Galician Preferred Division that was supposed to face Ribadea and Galicia Mugardos this Sunday starting at six in the afternoon has been postponed.

Once The council of Ribade has ordered three days of mourning for the death of four young people In the traffic accident in Xove, the local club requested this measure from the Galician Football Association, which after discussions with the Ferrola team agreed to the request.

The event happened this Saturday at nine fifteen in the morning, when a vehicle carrying six young people aged 18 to 19 had a serious accident. As a result, four of them died on the spot, while the driver and the sixth passenger in the car were injured, the first of whom is in a very serious condition, and the second with minor injuries. Apparently, the group was returning home after seeing the Panorama orchestra. The reasons that led to the accident are not known.

The pain that the municipality of Ribadeo and the surrounding areas is going through has caused the declaration of mourning and, therefore, the suspension of the game that was supposed to face Ribadeo who are fighting for survival with Galicia Mugardos who are trying to reach the third place that gives them the opportunity to play in the preview of the King’s Cup.
