Oscars, a new creative branch of production and technology

The Hollywood Academy has announced the creation of a new creative arm of its organization dedicated to production and technology.

The institution divides its members into total 18 branchesadding a new one, in which they seek to include all aspects of the film industry.

At least 14 of them represent award categories Oscar such as actors, cinematographers, costume designers, directors, documentarians, editors, to name just a few.

The new branch consists of 400 people who were there before classified as members generals of the Academy, and invited by the Board of Directors of the institution.

It represents members who work in key production and technical positions in all phases of filmmaking, from pre-production to post-production.

Some of the members of this new branch are directors heads of technological departments technologies, conservation and restoration specialists, script managers, choreographers, colorists, among other positions.

The accession of this branch happened 10 years after the creation of a consecrated one directors casting and represents an opportunity for the Academy to continue expanding the voices and ability to represent those who are part of the film industry.
