Ivan Toney, Brentford striker was declared guilty of more than 200 gambling-related charges and faces a sentence of up to six months, reports the English media. The England player has been accused of breaching FA betting rules 262 times between February 2017 and January 2021.

Toney is said to have breached FA regulations during his years at Scunthorpe, Wigan Athletic, Peterborough and Brentford. An independent commission will decide on the punishment to be given to Toney, who could receive a sentence of up to six months if it turns out that they are betting on their teams’ matches.
26-year-old Toney scored 15 goals in 23 games for Brentford this season. Fourteen of those goals came in the Premier League, where he is listed as the third top scorer behind Harry Kane (18) and Erling Haaland (27).
