The president of the French Football Federation resigns

Noël Le Graët resigns as President of the French Football Federation.

Noël Le Graët, president of the French football federation, resigns because of a preliminary investigation against him.

At a board meeting in January, the 81-year-old officially announced his resignation. Parisian justice is investigating Le Graët for sexual harassment. Le Graët has held the highest office since 2011. His fourth term should have lasted until 2024.

The future of national coach Corinne Diacre is also expected to be on the agenda of Tuesday’s Executive Committee. The leadership style of the 48-year-old in particular causes many problems. These also reportedly led to a trio around captain Wendie Renard resigning from the national team. (SDA/che)
