Fabio Celestini has lost his job at FC Sion after just six games.
According to information from Blick, the 47-year-old was released from ninth on Monday. Saturday’s 4-0 defeat to St. Gallen apparently broke the camel’s back.
Only two points came from the six games that Celestini was allowed to watch from the sidelines. With an average of 0.33 points per game, the Lausanne native is the second worst manager in club history. Gennaro Gattuso has the same value, but only played half as many games as a Sion coach.
Only Hugo Raczynski (45), who currently coaches the Sion U18, has a lower quota. In March 2021, however, he was only an interim coach for one game, Sion lost the game 2-1 to Servette. (che)
