Pius Suter will make his first playoff appearance in his fourth NHL season. The striker from Zurich also broke the 100-point mark for the Vancouver Canucks thanks to the 3-2 home win against Anaheim.
Suter was involved in Dakota Joshua’s 2-0 win with his 27th scorer point of the season. He serves his teammate the puck to the near post, from where Joshua sinks the disc between his legs into the net. He is also the one who scored the decisive 3-2 in the penultimate minute.
Suter, who missed the playoffs in previous seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings, surprises with Vancouver. Not every pundit believed the Canucks would make the playoffs last fall. Now they secure their ticket as the seventh team and the first Canadian team.
