The young Frenchman is unconscious and is taken from the field in a wheelchair. Nothing is currently known about the background or current condition of the top 100 player from Montpellier. However, high temperatures in Florida are believed to have played a role. During the match the thermometer rose to about 31 degrees Celsius and the humidity was around 70 percent.

Cazaux’s opponent is the target of fierce criticism on social media for allegedly not reacting or reacting too slowly to the events. Mayot immediately responded to the accusations.
“That was my reaction when I realized it was serious. I focused on the next point and didn’t see Arthur fall. I went to him when I realized it wasn’t just cramps.
