Aaron Taylor-Johnson: Will he be the next James Bond?

British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who played John Lennon in ‘Nowhere Boy’, is in talks to be the next James Bond in the film saga of the fictional spy 007, writes ‘The Sun’ this Tuesday.

The newspapers say so Eon production, which produced most of the secret agent films created by writer Ian Fleming in 1952, offered him the role to replace Daniel Craig, who left it in 2021 with “No Time To Die”), after having performed it since 2005.

‘Sun’ notes that Taylor-Johnson, also known for ‘Kick-Ass’ (‘Kick-Ass: Ready to Knock’), to sign a contract in the following days, which would officially make him the eighth James Bond.

This is what a source told the newspaper “Connection “It’s a job for Aaron, in case you want to take it.”

“The official offer is on table and they are waiting for him to respond,” said this source, who added that Eon believes he will soon sign to prepare the announcement.

The paper states that, according to these people familiar with the situation, work is being done on the script for the upcoming film, which will be shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England.

Aaron, who is married to director Sam Taylor-Wood – they both currently go by the surname Taylor-Johnson – competed for the role with the likes of Cillian Murphy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill and James Norton, according to the newspaper.

The 33-year-old actor said last week when Numero magazine asked him about his interest in Bond: “I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take it as a huge compliment.”
