The women’s Tour de France starts next year on July 23 in Clermont-Ferrand and ends a week later in the Pyrenees. The organization announced this on Thursday afternoon in Paris at the presentation of the 2023 Tour de France.

One stage will end next year on the Col du Tourmalet. A time trial is also on the program. It was missing this year.

The Tour de France Femmes has eight stages and, unlike the men’s edition, starts in France (in and around Clermont-Ferrand). The start date is July 24th, the rest day for the men. The final stage takes place on July 30th in and around Pau in the Pyrenees.

Tour de France 2023: The women’s route

After a few sprints and hilly stages, the absolute bang follows on Saturday, July 29th. The penultimate stage ends on the Tourmalet. The tour ends with a time trial in and around Pau in the Pyrenees. The total route is 956 kilometers long.

Seven riders per team will take part in the 2023 Tour for women, in this year’s edition the teams consist of six riders.
