Schaffhausen’s cadets (Luka Maros) are in the round of 16 of the European League after a nerve-wracking match in Serbia

After 27:24 in the home game, the Serbs equalized the score in the second leg. However, as the cadets had a goal difference that was five goals better after the end of the main round, they barely managed to get their heads out of the loop.

After the fourth and final match of the main round of the second highest level of the European Cup, they are third in the group and are in the round of 16.

Fear to the end

Just like a week ago, when the team from Schaffhausen was 6-0 behind against Bjerringbro-Silkeborg after six minutes, they also had a false start in Serbia. After twelve minutes the guests were 0:7 behind. Just like against the Danes, they also showed morale against Novi Sad. This was also necessary for well-known reasons.

By halftime, the Cadets cut the lead to 8:11. The Swiss did not come closer than two goals. In the end, they even had to worry about qualifying for the round of 16. (SDA)
