La Chaux-de-Fonds has one foot in the play-off final of the Swiss League. In the third match of the best-of-7 semi-final series against Visp, the qualifying winners achieved their third victory. After the 3-1 victory in front of their own audience, Neuchâtel still misses a victory to qualify for the final.
Neuchâtel laid the foundation for their third success in a row in the middle third when they made the decisive move inside six minutes thanks to goals from Julien Privet and Kyle Olson.
The GCK Lions were able to advance again in the other semi-final series against Olten after they had to concede the equalizer on Sunday. Thanks to the 5:3 away win, Zurich now leads 2:1.
The best-of-7 series continues on Friday. (cat/SDA)
