Basel coach Eric Himelfarb can look forward to a fifth match.

Basel, second in qualifying, was already one meter away from elimination in Visp. After losing the first three games, he fell far behind in the sixth minute with a double strike within 30 seconds. Coach Eric Himelfarb responded with a goalkeeper change – with Fabio Haller instead of Andri Henauer in the penalty area, the turnaround was achieved with three goals in the starting third. Ultimately, Basel forced a fifth game with a score of 7-2.

The qualification winners La Chaux-de-Fonds and Olten (third place) are having a difficult time. Neuchâtel lost their fourth match in Winterthur 4–0 after a double blow in the first third. Solothurn’s team led 1-0 in Weinfelden until the final period before Thurgau’s team turned things around. Fabio Hollenstein scored the 2-1 winner in the 58th minute. This means that the score is 2-2 in both series. (SDA)
