Afutpa announces a ‘stop work’ in the LPF

The Association of Professional Footballers of Panama (AFUTPA), made a call to ““stop work” from the sixth date Apertura 2024 tournament of the Panamanian Football League (LPF).

“Given the failure to act on our repeated requests to find a solution to the unsafe condition of soccer fields in Panama, which threatens the integrity of players, causes multiple injuries and affects the quality of the spectacle, AFUTPArepresenting the voice of football players, announces a call for a “work stoppage”
for the sixth date Panama Soccer League“, it is stated in the press release from Afutpa.

In a note, Afutpa also announced that it had established contacts with the entities, but without satisfactory answers for the welfare of the footballers: “Despite our previous attempts, through notes, injury studies, e-mails, peaceful protests, publications and meetings with the authorities, no concrete action has been taken measures in favor of the players,” the press release added, adding that they submitted ” LPF “various alternative solutions, which serve as relief for already scheduled matches on pitches with poor conditions.”

“We demand from LPF, FEPAFUT and Pandeportes, address these issues urgently and protect the integrity of those who contribute to the development of Panamanian football.
