On Thursday morning, legendary coach Roy Hodgson (76) led the training of Premier League club Crystal Palace. But the practice session soon had to be abandoned because Hodgson was not in good health.
According to English media reports, ex-Nati coach Hodgson (1992 to 1996) was then taken to hospital for further health checks. It initially remains unclear how serious the situation is.
After the incident, his club Crystal Palace canceled the press conference announced for Thursday afternoon at short notice. “Unfortunately, today’s press conference cannot take place as planned as our coach Roy Hodgson became ill during training this morning,” the club said in a statement.
