Samuel Giger will not avoid big matches next season.

In the 2024 season, the best wrestlers will not avoid each other. For example, Samuel Giger and Fabian Staudenmann have crossed swords five times this year.

Unspun winner Giger, like Staudenmann, is registered for the Bergkranzfeste on Schwarzsee and Schwegalp. In addition, the two dominators of last year’s season visit each other’s regional festivals: Giger ventures to the Bern Cantonal Festival in Burgdorf, Staudenmann to the Northeast Swiss Festival in Meilen.

At the end of the season, the two will attend ESV’s 125th anniversary wrestling festival in Appenzell, which, however, is not a wreath festival. They could work together there too.

Wicki competes with different chunks

Wrestling king Joel Wicki also doesn’t hold back. On the Stoos, the Sörenberger will compete with Giger, Pirmin Reichmuth and Damian Ott, and on the Weissenstein with Armon Orlik.

Last August, Wicki was unable to participate in the Northwestern Switzerland Festival in Deitingen due to an injury. This year he wants to make up for what he missed in Lausen BL. (SDA)
