Lucas Braathen – January 16, 2022

Halfway through the Lauberhorn Slalom, Norwegian Lucas Braathen is in 29th place, more than two seconds behind his compatriot Henrik Kristoffersen, but in the afternoon Braathen rode a dream run, while Kristoffersen was eliminated. Daniel Yule comes second behind Braathen.

Sandro Simonet – January 31, 2021

Sandro Simonet drove one hundredth faster than Canadian Erik Read in the first race in Chamonix and secured the last starting position for the second race. In this final, the Graubünden managed to jump from 30th to third place. The Swede Mattias Hargin achieved a similar feat in Zagreb in 2011.

Luca Aerni – February 13, 2017

Luca Aerni finished 30th in the downhill at the World Championships in St. Moritz and started at number 1 in the slalom. The Bernese converts his deficit of 2.61 seconds into a lead of one hundredth. Austrian superstar Marcel Hirscher has to settle for silver.

Luca Aerni shows a fantastic second run at the 2017 World Cup.

Mario Matt – January 14, 2007

The super combination in Wengen seems to be over for Austrian Mario Matt after he finished 34th in the descent. But because four athletes, including the Austrians Hermann Maier and Georg Streitberger, opt out of the second part of this competition, Matt is allowed to open the slalom – and wins!

Marc Berthod – January 7, 2007

The mood is very subdued after the first slalom act in Adelboden – with Marc Gini there is only one Swiss in the top 15. But then comes the biggest sensation in the history of Chuenisbärgli: Marc Berthod from St. Moritz takes 27th place Attacked in the second run with a time of 2.76 seconds and triumphed by 26 hundredths ahead of Benni Raich (Ö)!
