Clint Capela (in red) recorded his 22nd double-double of the season in the Hawks’ win over the Suns.

The Atlanta Hawks earned their third straight NBA victory. The team with Clint Capela defeated the Phoenix Suns at home with 129:120.

The Hawks took the preliminary decision against the Suns, who had won nine of their previous 11 games, at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarters, when they built a nine-point lead with 11 straight points. They will not let their opponents from the capital of the state of Arizona get closer than five points.

Capela contributed eleven points and ten rebounds to the latest success. This is the 22nd time this season that the Geneva center has recorded a personal best with double figures, a so-called double-double.

The Hawks have only run a similar series twice before in the current championship. In the early stages of the regular season they won four times without interruption, and in the week before they also won three times.

Atlanta is still ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference standings, which would just qualify to participate in the play-in tournament. In this tournament, the teams ranked 7 through 10 after qualifying will form the final two play-off participants in each of the two conferences. (SDA)
