Luke Littler’s incredible journey continues.

Darts sensation Luke Littler also defeated Brendan Dolan at the World Championships in London to reach the semi-finals. The only 16-year-old gave his 34-year-old rival no chance at the 5-1 victory. In the round of the last four, the Englishman will face his compatriot Rob Cross on Tuesday evening.

Littler again shows a confident performance from the start, playing four parts without a trace of nervousness. It wasn’t until the fifth set that the teenager weakened when he suddenly stopped hitting his doubles and promptly lost the set. But Littler recovers and wins set number six in familiar style 3-0.

Cross makes a mega comeback

Cross, 33, previously made history with a sensational comeback in his quarter-final against Chris Dobey and became the first player to turn a 0-4 deficit into a 5-4 at the Ally Pally. This means Cross can still hope for his second title after 2018.

Cross got off to a bad start against Dobey, who had knocked out defending champion Michael Smith from the tournament on Friday and was in danger of being eliminated. In the seemingly hopeless battle to progress, the 33-year-old improved, and Dobey, the only player with a tournament average of more than 100 points, also became more prone to mistakes.

In the evening, top favorite Michael van Gerwen (Netherlands) will compete against Englishman Scott Williams for a place in the semi-finals. Luke Humphries and Dave Chisnall (both England) also meet. (AFP)
