The 87th edition of the Swiss national tour (9 to 18 June) with start in Vaduz and finish in Villars-sur-Ollon will also stop next year in Rüschlikon ZH, Ambri TI, Carì TI and Blatten VS.
The municipality of Rüschlikon in Zurich, destination of the 3rd stage and starting point of the 4th stage, welcomes the Tour of Switzerland for the first time. In the Valais village of Blatten, a mountain finish is on the program for the second time, 50 years after the premiere at the end of the 6th stage.
The remaining locations will be announced in the coming weeks
Ticino will be represented by three stage locations in 2024. The 5th part leads from the HC Ambri-Piotta ice rink via detours to Carì. The final climb to the holiday resort is reminiscent of the legendary Alpe d’Huez with its 22 hairpin bends. The next day the starting signal for the 6th stage also takes place in the southernmost canton of Switzerland; the location has not yet been communicated.
The organizers want to announce in the coming weeks which stage locations are still open for 2024. The detailed route will be communicated in March. (SDA)
