Enea Bastianini, plagued by injuries, celebrated his first victory of the season in the penultimate race

Enea Bastianini wins in Sepang ahead of his brand colleagues Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia. In third place, Italian world champion Bagnaia, who started from pole position, slightly extended his lead in the World Cup standings over second-placed Jorge Martin. The Spaniard has to settle for 4th place in Sepang.

Martin is now 14 points behind Bagnaia in the World Cup standings. In the last two races of the season in Qatar and Valencia next weekend and the weekend after, 74 points are still up for grabs (including sprints).
