Girona can call itself leader of the Spanish championship again until Sunday evening. The surprise team from northeastern Catalonia currently has a three-point lead over Real Madrid after a 4-2 win at Osasuna.
Thanks in part to the goals of top scorer Artem Dowbyk and his Ukrainian compatriot Viktor Tsygankov, Girona once again hosted a shooting festival. With 29 goals so far, the club, which is only in its fourth season in the Premier League, has scored more times than any other team.
