After only managing one point in the Superbike World Championship in Aragon on Saturday, Dominique Aegerter did not get up to speed as desired on Sunday. In the Superpole race, the Bernese driver did not get further than 14th place. Things went only marginally better for the 32-year-old in the race, finishing 12th. Aegerter dropped one place in the World Cup rankings and is now in 10th place.
World Championship leader Alvaro Bautista rehabilitated himself from the previous day’s crash to impressively win not only the Superpole race, but also the second race this weekend. In the general classification, the Spaniard extended his lead over the Turk Toprak Razgatlioglu to 47 points. (SDA)
