Bayern destroy Freiburg, Morocco keeps its heart for the injured Mazraoui

After an overwhelming victory over Freiburg (5:0), FC Bayern Munich has taken second place in the Bundesliga. Union Berlin remains clearly ahead after beating Borussia Dortmund (2-0).

However, there are also new concerns for Bayern. And especially for Morocco. Because more than a month before the World Cup in Qatar, Noussair Mazraoui retired from the southern German derby with a hamstring injury.

Not a good turn, Fleks

Another person who didn’t make a good turn just before the World Cup was Orange international Mark Flek. He was the least overtaken goalkeeper in the German league up until Sunday, but was getting goal after goal against the reigning champions.

The spot on October 16th

When Serge Gnabry scored the opening goal, Flek missed a rebound after a shot by Leroy Sané. Before halftime, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting doubled the lead with a shot from the turn. In the second half, Sané, Sadio Mané and Marcel Sabitzer took over the production.

Like Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt had a regular place at Bayern Munich. The latter grabbed a hamstring with more than ten minutes remaining before leaving the field under his own power to be substituted.

Malen jumps in at Dortmund

Two quick goals from Janik Haberer kept leaders Union Berlin at bay.

Borussia Dortmund struggled in the second half with substitute Donyell Malen, but keeper Frederik Ronnow was unable to pass despite a few good chances.
