Niels Hintermann (28) is delighted. During the World Ski Championships in February, he told Blick that he was engaged. Now he is making his love happiness public.
“There is something to tell,” writes Hintermann on Instagram about a series of photos in which he can be seen with his queen of hearts Lara Scholl. “We’ve been engaged since December 23.”
Congratulations from the ski circus
You can see how happy the speed demon is. Hintermann exchanges amorous glances with his fiancée as he picks her up. And underlines the whole thing with the words: “I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you.” The two already know when the wedding bells should ring for them. However, it will take a while. In July 2024 the time has come, Hintermann reveals when asked.
The good news is quickly spreading in the ski circus. Corinne Suter responds with a series of emojis, including a ring and a smiley surrounded by hearts. Wild and childlike playful side
The romantic photos with his fiancee show a different side of Zurich. Hintermann is fearless on the downhills of the World Cup and will risk everything to lead the way. This earned him the nickname “Cinghiale” (German: wild boar). He has won two races (a downhill and a station wagon) and has also finished third on the downhill podium four times. Most recently in January 2023 in Kitzbühel (Austria).
In addition to the romantic and wild, there is also the childishly playful side of Hintermann. When his fiancé gave him a Ferrari F40 Lego set for his birthday, he was overjoyed. “I’m passionate about building Lego cars,” says Hintermann.
