Away trips are rarely an exciting affair for football teams. In the case of the Super League teams, the car is usually driven uphill for this. The aircraft is only used in European Cup rounds.
Not so with Al-Hilal, the third of last season in the Saudi Pro League. For trips to the games, the club sometimes climbs into a Boeing 747-400 converted into a luxury jet. A video of the inside of the machine is now going viral – and should even draw envious looks from some of the top league stars.

Attacker Odion Ighalo (34, ex-ManUtd) is responsible for the impressive shots. On Instagram, the goal scorer guided followers through the modified aircraft, which has nothing to do with a commercial airline except for the cockpit.
The many rows of seats, which normally accommodate more than 400 passengers, are completely removed on Al-Hilal’s machine. Instead, players can make themselves comfortable in spacious armchairs, eat together at long tables or retreat to one of the many lounges. Also included in the equipment: a throne, on which Igalho was allowed to sit for a while.
Al-Hilal brings stars from England
The price of the Protz-Boeing is estimated to be the equivalent of nearly 200 million francs. The aircraft was provided by Prince Al Waleed bin Talal (68). The billionaire is considered a big fan of Al-Hilal.
However, Odion Ighalo will no longer be able to enjoy the luxury aircraft in the future. The player will leave the club this summer.
