After the National Council Committee, the Legal Committee of the Council of States (RK-S) followed three similar parliamentary initiatives, the parliamentary services announced on Tuesday. The National Council Commission can now work out legislative amendments.
The initiatives of the national councilors Jacqueline de Quattro (FDP/VD) and Léonore Porchet (Groenen/VD) advocate the principle “who strikes, goes!” anchor. The RK-S welcomes this with 5 votes in favour, 0 against and 6 abstentions.
With 8 votes to 0 and 4 abstentions, the commission also approved an initiative by National Councilor Céline Amaudruz (SVP/GE), according to which the principle of systematic active electronic surveillance should be incorporated into federal law in cases of violence against women .
