The purchasing contract goes to two Swiss, a British, a German, a Polish and an Indian company, Armasuisse announced on Monday.

The clothing factories of all six companies were also checked in advance for the social sustainability of the production, such as working conditions and safety standards.

With the award of the camouflage and work suits, the weather-resistant clothing and the headgear, all orders for the production of the combat clothing have now been placed, Armasuisse further announced.

The parliament approved the loans for a total purchase volume of CHF 348 million with the Army Message 2018. The introduction of the new combat clothing is planned for later this year.
