The State Council of Vaud has commissioned an external report on the tax situation of Valérie Dittli (center). The 31-year-old Councilor of State is under fire because she only moved her tax residence to the canton of Vaud in 2022.

The mandate was entrusted to lawyer and tax specialist Daniel Schafer, partner at the law firm Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva. His work will cover “the branch’s examination and audit of tax liability for the years 2016 to 2021 with regard to cantonal and federal tax law,” the State Council announced on Thursday.

Dittli on hold

The Vaud government points out that this decision was taken in the absence of Dittli, in accordance with the challenge rules. However, the main victims agree with this measure.

The cantonal government wants to publish the result of the external report “as soon as possible”. (SDA)
