The Green Liberals announced this on Tuesday evening after their group meeting. Moser was party leader for twelve years. She wanted to give up office after her election as a member of the Council of States, it was said.
Gredig will take over the chairmanship of the parliamentary group from December 11. The 36-year-old has been National Councilor since 2019. She was previously involved in the municipal and canton council. She is co-chair of the GLP Canton of Zurich. In addition to politics, she works as a partner at a consultancy firm.
After heavy losses in October, the GLP faction still has eleven seats in parliament: ten in the National Council and one new one in the Council of States.
