Finance Minister Karin Keller-Sutter (59) and her Italian colleague Giorgetti (56) signed a corresponding statement on Friday after a video conference, the Federal Ministry of Finance (EFD) announced.
If the maximum 25 percent limit is maintained, everything will remain as before – both for the state, which is responsible for collecting taxes, and for the status of cross-border commuters.
According to the press release, Keller-Sutter praised the agreement reached. The solution is “good for Swiss companies and their employees”. It provides clarity and security when dealing with home office taxation, “reduces administrative burden and guarantees equal treatment of all cross-border commuters involved”. (SDA)
