This is what is happening to the Swiss
What is the general health status of the Swiss population after the corona pandemic? What about general mental health? What are the most common physical complaints? How much time is spent on physical activity? Will obesity continue to increase in the population? How is alcohol and tobacco consumption developing?
The Swiss Health Survey (SGB) from the Federal Statistical Office (BFS) provides answers to these and other questions. Georges-Simon Ulrich, director of BFS, and BAG director Anne Lévy will present the results of the study at a media conference in Bern.
The Federal Statistical Office (BFS) presents its Swiss Health Survey (SGB) on Friday. This examined, among other things, the issue of the general health of the population.
It should also provide insight into the situation after the corona pandemic. The SGB, which is being conducted for the seventh time, also makes it possible to compare the health status of the population, their behavior and healthcare use over a period of more than thirty years, the BFS reports.
The BFS has conducted the SGB every five years since 1992. The sixth survey, which is part of the Swiss census research programme, took place in 2017. The results were published in October 2018. They showed that the Swiss are getting fatter, while at the same time they are more physically active and smoke less.
Blick will report live from the media conference from 9:30 am. (oco)
