Result in the canton of St. Gallen: SVP takes back the fifth seat

Walter Gartmann becomes a member of the National Council for the SVP.

In the canton of St. Gallen, the SVP regains its fifth seat in the National Council together with Walter Gartmann (54) – at the expense of the GLP, which functioned without the previous Thomas Brunner (63). For the rest, the distribution of seats remained unchanged: one for the Greens and two for the SP, Center and FDP.

The two former state councilors Esther Friedli (46, SVP) and Benedikt Würth (55, center) defend their seats.
