The SVP Schwyz called on the local Wägital party on Sunday to immediately suspend the party membership of SVP cantonal councilor Bernhard Diethelm (40). He is charged with endangering his life, attempted assault and banned pornography.
According to the indictment, available at the Keystone-SDA news agency, Diethelm “put an unscrupulous woman in immediate mortal danger”. He threatened her, made her unable to resist and tried to force her to tolerate sexual intercourse.

Specifically, Diethelm allegedly abused a prostitute in Zurich to such an extent that her life was in danger, as the “NZZ” reported. That’s why Diethelm had an appointment two years ago with a prostitute for sadomasochistic role-playing in Zurich’s red light district.
The SVP politician is said to have strangled the woman so hard that she suffered multiple injuries. She was also injured when Diethelm tried to sedate the woman with an unknown substance to make her sexually pliable.
Defendant denies allegations
Diethelm denies the allegations. While the presumption of innocence applies, the SVP Canton Schwyz was “appalled” in a press release. She calls on the local Wägital party to suspend Diethelm’s membership until a possible acquittal.
