Valle-Inclan, or better

TOsigned distinctly or magnificently torrent ballester that the best Spanish writer of the 20th century was Don Ramon Maria del Valle-Inclan, the author of the literary work sen par, especially in the field of drama. There was something in which nothing placed the theater that was developing throughout Europe, opening the new years, with authors like Bertolt Brecht and two playwrights from the Teatro do Absurdo (Ionesco, Beckett and Adamov). Swede Ingmar Bergman also showed great interest in the work of the Galician writer and playwright.

But what Torrente admired above all was the astonishing literary xenio of the great Don Ramón, or whom I personally knew of his work with feverish enthusiasm. Torrente Ballester was, like Alvaro Cunqueiro, devotee of Valle-Inclán talent. Cunqueiro also often visited one when in early 1936 the creator Arousán was hospitalized in Santiago de Compostela, where Cape Morrería in 1936, shortly before the start of the most grotesque of the civil war.

His admiration for Torrente Ballester was strictly literary, because nowhere else did he notice a similar creative ability in the literary field. Certainly, or that the road in Valle-Inclán was a dramatic art that drove vanguards and innovations and that did not have the same color.

Subsequently, after his death, there was a great demand for his works, especially in my innovative magazine First act (with José Monleón), which placed us in the international vanguard with Valle-Inclán at the forefront of a theater modernization that is still unsurpassed (perhaps due to its current theater decadence).

Gonzalo Torrente Ballester complained about some periods of discontinuity that could lead to Valle-Inclán’s work being neglected, and for that reason he allowed his authorized opinion to be heard on who’s who. And Ramón María del Valle-Inclán was considered a great master leader, which is why he is irrevocably considered the best writer and playwright of the 20th century. And she is absolutely right, as confirmed by her deep literary acquaintances. Because Torrente Ballester, by the way, was also harassed by another xenio.
