When the timetable changes in December, SBB will launch half-hourly north-south connections in the Gotthard foundation tunnel. According to SBB, there are other developments in rail traffic from western Switzerland to Graubünden. With the half-hour service on the Gotthard axis, many leisure travelers from German-speaking Switzerland and commuters from Ticino gained additional connections on the north-south axis. SBB wrote a message on Friday.

Trains will run daily from the Gotthard Base Tunnel from 6:00 to 20:00 to the south and from 7:00 to 22:00 to the north.

There will be two additional direct connections between Geneva and Chur over the weekend, as this connection is well received by travelers. The new tariff is valid from 10 December 2023. Further innovations in long-distance traffic between Basel and Interlaken are also planned. (SDA)
