The Spanish Air Force had decided to purchase 24 PC-21s at the beginning of August. The last delivery of this order took place in the middle of last year. The signing of the contract for a new delivery will make Spain the largest PC-21 operator in Europe.
Future Spanish military pilots have been trained with the Pilatus training system since the summer of 2022. The additional order aims to strengthen pilot training with additional Pilatus trainer aircraft. At the same time, the range of training offered by PC-21 will be expanded: in addition to “Basic Training”, “Basic Training” will also be implemented in PC-21 in the future.
