Their destinies are amazing.
Stephanie Seymour

Stephanie Seymour was one of the supermodels of the 90s. She participated in all the big shows from Versace to Saint Laurent, was one of the “Angels” of Victoria’s Secret, starred in music videos and films. Life seemed to be completely cloudless, but in 2021 sadness came to the family of the supermodel – her son Harry from the second marriage with the publisher and collector of contemporary art Peter Brant died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. He was only 24 years old. The loss completely disturbed Stephanie – for the first time she could speak on this topic only a year later.

Karen Mulder

In the 1990s, Karen was one of the ten highest paid models in the world, competing with Claudia Schiffer for the title of the most striking blonde on the catwalk. But behind her charming smile lay a heartache. In 2001, Mulder revealed that she had been abused while modeling. She accused various people: politicians, agency workers and even Prince Albert of Monaco. No one took her words seriously then, and the model herself was accused of taking drugs.
Soon, relatives identified her for treatment at a psychiatric clinic. Since then, the model’s life went downhill. She suffered from chronic depression and even attempted suicide. There was no question of continuing her career – she last appeared on stage in 2007, and today she rarely appears in public.
Gia Karanji

Gia was one of the world’s first supermodels. Her career peaked in the 1970s. Then the type of blondes was in vogue, and sensual Karanji stood out against their background. She was one of the first to dare to shoot candidly – her nudes for Vogue in 1978 stirred up the whole company. Success and big money caused Gia to frequent New York nightclubs, where she became addicted to drugs. Doctors later diagnosed her with AIDS. The disease literally ate the model alive – there was not even a trace of the former beauty, as her entire body was covered with ulcers. In 1986, at the age of 26, she died and the mortuary recommended that she be buried in a closed casket.
Ruslana Korshunova

The Kazakh model of Russian origin was widely known as the face of brands Vera Wang and Nina Ricci. Today, however, they are discussing not so much her career as the circumstances of her mysterious death. On June 28, 2008, 4 days before her 21st birthday, Korshunova fell from the window of her ninth floor apartment in Manhattan. Relatives did not believe the version of suicide presented by the police, because everything in the girl’s life was going great and her career was at its peak – after fashion week in Paris, she returned to New York.
The model’s hair also became a mystery in the case – several witnesses said that it had become shorter and the ends had apparently been cut imprecisely. There was a version that the causes of Ruslana’s death should be sought in the Rose of the World sect, whose training the model attended. To this day, the truth has not been revealed.
