Twitter is currently struggling with global outages. This is indicated by reports from users. Tweets fail to load for many users and logging in seems impossible at this time. The home feed is particularly affected – sometimes individual tweets get through (see example below).
Exactly what the problem is is currently unclear. According to the “Downdetector” bug reporting website, the problem reports started shortly after 11:00 am Swiss time.
Twitter owner Elon Musk (51) recently stirred up mass layoffs at the text messaging service. In a matter of months, the number of employees dropped from 7,500 to less than 2,000. Even an executive who spent the night in the Twitter offices recently was kicked out by Musk. (zi)
