Migros Group is the first reference on social commitment in Switzerland. It stands for responsibility. And its raison d’etre is to work hard every day to improve people’s quality of life.
In turn, Socar’s business activities support and finance one of the world’s most oppressive and corrupt regimes, the appeal remains. Socar is wholly state-owned and is headed by Azerbaijan’s autocrat Ilham Aliyev.
The signatories of the objection see Socar’s cooperation with Migros retail group as an inseparable contradiction with Migros’ strategy, code of conduct and mission statement. They call on Migros to end this cooperation.
